Arts@St. Mark is designed around the principles of Expression (classroom instruction), Engagement (family and community events), and Exposure (field trips, exhibitions, performances). Working closely with the Director of Education and our classroom teachers, our Resident Artist integrates the arts into the curriculum. The arts are woven into the daily life of St. Mark Child and Family Development Center including classroom instruction, teacher training, and family engagement activities. Our Resident Artist also collaborates with the Center’s licensed clinical therapist to address the special needs of students who have experienced trauma.

Why are the arts important in early education? Watch this video to learn more.
